Prof. Oren Tirosh

Description of current research activities

Elucidation of cellular and molecular action of dietary antioxidants. Mitochondrial bioenergetics as a main organelle that regulates ROS (free radicals) production and role of antioxidants and oxidants in obesity and in liver diseases that involve ROS production.

Research projects

  1. Mechanisms underline hepatic ischemia reperfusion injury.
  2. Fat as a mediator in liver injury.

Post-doctorate fellow in the lab of professor Lester Packer, Department of Molecular and Cell Biology, University of California at Berkeley.
