A therapeutic nutrition clinic at the Institute of Biochemistry, Food Science and Nutrition, The Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment
A therapeutic nutrition clinic has been established at the Faculty of Agriculture, Food and and Environment, in cooperation with the Haruv Institute, to treat children who have been neglected or abused. It will provide a learning platform and research laboratory within the Institute of Biochemistry, Food Science and Nutrition.
The clinic will provide practical experience in nutritional therapy for students under the close professional guidance of clinical dietitians and of faculty members of the School of Nutritional Sciences. Clinic services will include consultations, diagnoses, nutritional treatments and follow-ups. Referrals to other treatment modes, such as mental health or medical treatment, will be offered as necessary.
In addition, MSc and PhD students from Institute of Biochemistry, Food Sciences and Nutrition and other Faculty departments will conduct research in cooperation with the clinic.
